THE PERIOD FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THE XXI EDITION OF THE COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN 01/09/2010 Photo: Sinisa Skenderija Once again, the Memorial María Luisa is inviting mountain and nature photographers to take part in the XXI edition - 2010. Photographs may be submitted until the first of December. On this occasion, nine different thematic categories have been created. Each contestant may enter up to five photographs in each one. In addition to the overall prize, there will be a first prize for each category. Contestants may submit photographs for the contest via the WEB, www.memorialmarialuisa.com (preferred option), or on a CD or DVD by post. The event has no other purpose or motivation than to advertise the artistic work of the photographers who take part each year, while, at the same time, promoting awareness of mountains, nature and mountain environments. It also wishes to promote significant events connected with nature, such as the commemoration of 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity (IYB) in this case. We would like to greet all the photographers who, from 60 different countries, have taken part in our contest over the past two decades and welcome all new contestants who will be competing in the Memorial Maria Luisa for the first time.
